We are almost to the end of the Winter Car Care list of items. Today we will discuss antifreeze for you vehicles and a possible tune-up before “the snow flies”.
Every 80,000 miles your coolant system needs to be cleaned and flushed. This will maintain the best temperature of the engine and prevent corrosion. Yep, this is one of those items that you should keep a record of completion dates.
Tune-ups are very important too. A tune-up will ensure your car in functioning properly and to prevent further damage. A typical tune-up will include: checking the spark plugs, ignition and emission systems, replacing the fuel and air filters. Check the owner’s manual for when to have a tune-up done as it can vary.
