Potholes are everywhere! They come in all sizes small, medium, large and extra large. Have you ever wondered if your car needs repaired after hitting a pothole? Hitting a pothole has the potential to damage the tires, steering and suspension. Repairs and/or an alignment may be needed.
The Car Care Council advises of 3 warning signs of pothole damage. Does your vehicle:
- Sway when making regular turns? Seem to bounce excessively or bottom out on city streets? Feel like you are losing control when driving? These are indications the suspension and/or steering have been damaged. This is a key safety issue so have your vehicles checked over by a professional right away.
2. Pull in one direction? Have uneven tire wear? These are indications of an alignment problem. An alignment is recommended to keep your car safely going down the road and to extend the life of your tires.
3. Tires have a bulge on the sidewall? Have dents in the wheel rim? Tires have low tire pressure? Have you vehicle checked as soon as possible. Damaged tires or rims are a safety issue.
