How many of us really think about the job of a lineman? It’s one of those jobs that we don’t really think about until our electricity goes out; usually during the night from a thunderstorm. And then we are VERY thankful for what they do!
The US Senate recognized the importance of our linemen and designated April 18th as National Lineman Appreciation Day. It is a day to express our greatest appreciation to the dedicated men and women that work so hard for us every day as Electrical Line workers.
Electrical linemen provide a tremendous service that most of us take for granted. We don’t often think about how hard and dangerous their jobs really are. They are the first responders during storms and other catastrophic events.Linemen work with thousands of volts of electricity high atop power lines 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to keep electricity flowing for our many wants and needs.
The next time the power goes out at your house or business, say a prayer for the linemen that are out there getting the power restored for you as quickly as possible.
