We all know that WI weather can be unpredictable. Take for example; this past Saturday night. So many cars got stranded on Irish Hill due to the unexpected freezing rain.
Our daughter was one of them, trying to drive home after watching the Packer game earlier. NAPA has a list of important items we should all carry during the winter months.
They suggest carrying these items:
- Ice scraper and brush
- An Emergency kit — calling for roadside assistance may be an option, but when it’s not…. NAPA recommends: gloves, a snow shovel, kitty litter or sand (Ice melt is also handy), a blanket and warmer packs. It should also include reflective triangles, a first-aid kit, flat tire fixer, duct tape, tools and a flashlight with extra batteries.
- Jumper cables —- a professional-grade 2-gauge jumper cables are best. The wires are thicker and will start your car faster. The jumper cables should be at least 20 feet long to allow enough room between vehicles.
Be safe out there!
