Flag Day is tomorrow, June 14, 2022. It is a day set aside for us to celebrate the adoption of the United States flag; which was on June 14, 1777.
On this day, Americans are asked to show respect for the flag and what it represents. President Wilson stated, “It is the anniversary of the day upon which the flag of the United States was adopted by the Congress as the emblem of the Union.”
Since 1777, the design of this great American symbol has been officially modified 26 times. It was designed by seventeen-year-old Robert G. Heft of Ohio. It is the symbol of all we have been, and all we have yet to be.
