W-I-N-T-E-R (winter} is coming. Sorry, but you can’t avoid it. The posts from last week explained the most important areas to get your vehicle ready for the upcoming season.
Today I am going to address, floor mats. Something you may not really think about. Do you have floor mats in your vehicles? Are they made of rubber or cloth? If you are like me, I have both.
While my car came with cloth mats. I really like the idea of rubber mats in the winter. Both materials have great advantages in our Wisconsin winter weather. I put the cloth mats on the bottom and place the rubber mats on top. This way if the melted snow overflows the tread “trays” on the rubber mats, the cloth mats will soak it up.
The really important thing to check on your floor mats is the grip on the bottom. The mats need to grip whatever is under them to prevent the mats from sliding under your gas and brake pedals.
Safety is paramount!
