A winter wiper blade is essentially a blade that is encased in a protective rubber shell. Some people prefer to swap out their wiper blades for winter blades while others will go with an all-season wiper. All-season wiper blades are made without the metal or plastic brackets, joints or hinges of conventional wiper blades; so, snow and ice have nowhere to build up. Most of our customers find all-season blades work best for them. No matter what type of wiper blade you prefer to use, you can expect to replace them twice a year. Be sure to replace both blades at the same time… and you might want to check your windshield washer fluid level too.
