I grew up going to garage sales; a.k.a thrifting! I raised our girls on garage sales. And I still love them and consignment store shopping. Hope there are some good ones this week! Enjoy the upcoming weekend everyone

Have you been considering becoming a foster parent? Jim and I have done this in the past. It was a rewarding experience that we are thankful for. I would strongly advise you to call the Department of Health and Human Services @ 608-784-4357 if you would like more information on becoming a foster parent. See insights and ads ... read more

This past weekend was filled with so much fun! Our daughter was married to her best friend, John! These two have had their share of individual challenges as young adults and now have come together to share all the joys life has to offer! We wish them the very best today and always!

President's Day is celebrated every third Monday of February. That's today! Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12th and George Washington was born on February 22nd. Richard M. Nixon made the executive order to pass the Uniform Monday Holiday Act, in 1971. This Act shifted Washington’s Birthday, Columbus Day, Memorial Day, and Veterans’ Day to a Monday. Because Abraham Lincoln's birthday is also in February, President's Day was created. This National holiday not only gave us reason to remember our Presidents, but also gave retailers a reason to offer different promotions of their products. This year, we especially are thinking of our 39th President, Jimmy Carter! Peace be with you Mr. Carter. Whether you are working today or have the day off, it's a great day to remember all of our Presidents.
