Came across this photo and it reminded me of a conversation Jim and I had this past weekend. While driving home from the camper we came across an older vehicle that was similar to his Dad's Chrysler Fury III, that Jim had while we were dating (oh so many years ago). In our hometown, it was common to "scoop the loop" with our friends. Of course, the cars were packed with as many people as they would hold. The Fury was one of those vehicles! Do you have your summer vacation all planned out? What about your car, van or truck that is staying at home while you are gone? You might be tempted to unhook the battery but don't do it. Keep the battery hooked up as usual. Your battery will be just fine. Unhooking it could cause problems. It just isn't worth it. It is possible for the brakes to seize and brake pads could become rusty. To avoid a bigger problem, do not engage the parking brake. Be sure to wash and if possible, wax the outside of your vehicle. This is important when the vehicle is not going to be driven for an extended period of time. Tree sap, dirt and bird droppings can cause paint damage if left on for extended periods of time. January 31st

January 31st! We have made it through the first month of 2024! While some of us are thankful for the snowstorm we received, others are thankful it was just ONE big snowstorm (and secretly hoping it will be the only one!). February gives us another chance to continue any resolutions that we started in January. Or perhaps another chance to make changes that have been on our minds. Either way, February is a clean slate! Make it a good one!
