Electric Systems Three Components

Electric Systems Three Components

Today’s engines have electrical systems that use three main components. They are: The Battery – batteries supply electrical currents to the ignition, fuel system and starter prior to the engine starting The Starter – the starter relies on the battery to power a flywheel, that engages the crankshaft to operate pistons in the engine The Alternator – Once the engine is running, the alternator takes over to provide a continuous charge When one of these parts fails it takes some detective work to find the root cause (which part). Our skilled technicians will get to the root of the problem for you. Give us a call at 608-782-1375.

Exhaust System

Exhaust System

Mufflers are part of the exhaust system. This system routes dangerous gas from the engine out and away from our vehicles. It also reduces exhaust noise. When the exhaust gets noisy, we automatically assume it is the muffler, but this is not necessarily so. There is also O2 (oxygen) sensors, catalytic converter(s), exhaust pipe, resonator and a tail pipe that could be the culprit. Keep an eye on the exhaust system if you hear noises when starting, accelerating or braking.
