Came across this photo and it reminded me of a conversation Jim and I had this past weekend. While driving home from the camper we came across an older vehicle that was similar to his Dad's Chrysler Fury III, that Jim had while we were dating (oh so many years ago). In our hometown, it was common to "scoop the loop" with our friends. Of course, the cars were packed with as many people as they would hold. The Fury was one of those vehicles! With its two bench seats, it was a great time! Many cars and trucks, back in the day, "needed" two people to steer! Did you know that the speed rating on your tire sidewall is just as important as the load rating? The speed rating indicates the maximum speed a tire can safely handle, and it's crucial to match this with your vehicle's top speed. Using a tire with a lower speed rating than your vehicle's maximum speed can lead to overheating, reduced handling, and tire failure. Make sure to check your owner's manual, or call us to ensure you're using the right tire with the appropriate speed rating for your vehicle.

TMPS; you’ve heard that term before, but what does it mean? It stands for Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Just like the name suggests; they monitor your tire pressure. Most cars today have one on each tire. Sometimes spare tires will also have this sensor. When this warning light comes on, do not ignore it! So, I had this warning light come on for my car. They found a nail in the tire. Non-repair zone… of course. Got 4 new tires because of being 4-wheel drive. “The Car Care Council’s new video about the TPMS system explains the meaning of the symbol on your dashboard and its importance to vehicle safety,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. We all need some humor once in a while! Today we are thinking of our fellow repair shop owners in Texas as they deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl. Even though they deal with the threat of hurricanes each year, having to deal with the aftermath is a whole different story! Keeping the people of Texas, and especially our fellow shop owners, in our thoughts and prayers during these difficult times.
